CAUSE AND EFEECT

How do oil spills occur? Oil Spills may happen for several reasons. 1. When oil tankers have equipment faults . When oil tankers break down, it may get stuck on shallow land. When the tanker is attempted to move out of shallow land, abrasion may cause a hole in the tanker that will lead to large amounts of oil being released into the oceanic bodies. However, although this form of oil spill is the most commonly known and has the highest media attention, only 2% of oil in water bodies is a result of this action. 2. From nature and human activities on land. The large majority of oil spilled is from natural seeps geological seeps from the ocean floor as well as leaks that occur when products using petroleum or various forms of oil are used on land, and the oil is washed off into water bodies. 3. Water Sports. Other causes of oil spills are spills by petroleum users of released oil. This happens when various water sports or water vehicles such as motorboats and jet ...

Vocabulary of Chemistry

Electrolysis is dissociating an electrolyte into an ion on the electrode in the presence of an electric current. Electrical conduction through an electrolyte solution will result in a chemical change. Matter is everything that occupies space and has mass. As the universe is composed of matter, tables, chairs and air we normally breathe is one included into the material. Element is a substance that can not be changed into a simpler form under normal or normal laboratory conditions. In other words, the element is a pure substance that can not be deciphered into a simple substance through a chemical reaction. The compound is a single substance consisting of two or more elements which can be broken down into simpler forms through chemical reactions. Benzene, also known as the chemical formula C6H6, PhH, and benzol, is an organic chemical compound that is colorless and flammable liquid and has a sweet smell. Bases are the opposite of acids, ie they are intended for elements / chemic...

COMPARE AND CONTRAST

Gambar
Definitions: Compare and contrast essays  are multi-paragraph compositions that explain ways in which two (or, very occasionally, more) subjects are similar or different. In these papers,  compare  means describing similarities between the subjects. When we are comparing Uberman and Catman, we might describe their tragic backstories, their secret double lives, and their fondness for crime fighting. Basically, the comparison tells what they have in common. The arch-enemy of comparing is contrasting. When you  contrast  two things, you explain ways in which they are different. Contrasting Catman and Uberman, we might take note of the way Catman uses his opponent's strength against him, while Uberman depends on brute force. HOW TO WRITE A COMPARE AND CONTRAST ESSAY The purpose of a compare and contrast essay is to analyze the differences and/or the similarities of two distinct subjects. A good compare/contrast essay doesn’t only point out how the su...

Classification of Matter

Gambar
Classification of Matter Before we classify the matter, let us understand the meaning of matter. Matter is anything that occupies the space and has a mass. For example, your textbook, trees, table, etc. Then what is the mass? The mass is the amount of matter in an object, which is not the same thing as its weight. The weight is a measure of the gravitational force exerted on an object. As long as the gravity is uniform (earth’s surface), the weight does not change. Hence, we can freely use the word mass or weight; it does not make any difference. However, if the gravitational forces are not the same (earth vs. moon), the weight differs from the mass. For example, the same astronaut (same mass) weighs differently on earth and on moon. The matter can be classified in two different ways; (a) according to its state, and (b) according to its composition. The States of Matter: Solid, Liquid, and Gas Matter can exist in three different states, solid, liquid, and gas, based on th...
